With my Homepage, blog and portfolio set up and a few posts and images on them, my next step was to expand my content. Visitors are primarily looking for information so to that end I created a further two pages.
Why have a website ?
For people that might be thinking about having a website but are not sure of the benefits, I created a page with the main reasons a website was good for a business to have. I already had a good idea but did my reasearch and came up with several reasons that a business would benefit.
Design Principles
The second page I created was Design Principles. It was an opportunity to give visitors something more than just a sales pitch. I could offer some free advice as well as inform visitors of the principles I follow when designing a site. Along with some tried and tested best practices, I included my own personal, Who, What, Where, When, Why and How philosophy. It encompases everything a person could want from a website.
