An Easy Birth

Updated: Jan 5

After realising I had to have something to show people and promote my business, I hastily threw together a landing page. At the very least, having a landing page would give me the opportunity to show a well designed engaging page. It would tell people what I do, what I was offering and let people know what area I was operating in, as well as provide contact details and hours of business.

The bare minimum a business needs to have, is a Landing page if nothing else. I did it all in just a few hours. And I was up and running at no cost but my time.

It has changed a little since I first published but shows you that getting started is really easy. I designed a page that would quickly tell my audience what they could expect from my design service and the page spoke for itself.

This was only the start of the journey. Once I had given birth to my site I knew that it would inevitably need to grow. All I had was a slick landing page with no blog

or portfolio. My Homepage alone wasn’t going to cut it. Sure I might get a couple of enquiries but I needed to offer visitors something more.

I decided to give my potential customers some guidance and advice based on my experience. It would also give me the opportunity to set out the reasons for having a site and the philosophy I employ when designing and building a website.
